Hi everyone! And welcome to Angelina’s Sisson Studio’s blog. As we told you in the “about us” page, we are Bárbara Ferreira and Christian Sisson, designers from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and this blog is about design, inspiration and creativity.
This first post is about tools that we use to create. I’m going to reproduce here some words of Chris Orwig, the man of the YEEHOOOO!!! scream.
He is a professional freelance photographer, interactive designer, educator, and consultant and teaches at lynda.com [wonderful] website. His work is awesome and I recommend you to check out his websites.
Watching his training title Enhancing Digital Photography with Photoshop CS2, I wrote down a few things of what he said about tools. Why do we have to learn to use these tools? Why is that so important? If we stop to think about their importance, like Chris Orwig did, maybe, one day, we’ll find that learning them can be as interesting as creating with them.
Tools help you achieve things that were otherwise impossible.
Tool are inherently fun, just pick one and see what you can create with it.
The more technical we became with a tool the more creative potential we have. Technical expertise = Creative potential.
As we learn the technics, our technical expertise will always be at the service of our creativity.
We become technical in order to become more creative.
I strongly recommend lynda.com online training library. And don’t forget to check out Chris links:
Best wishes to all.
